ATT 66 ED A review in
the Telescope Buyer's Guide in the September 2007 Astronomy magazine
said about the Astro-Tech
AT66ED, "While
I'd normally have reservations
about recommending a scope with
less
than 3 inches of aperture, every
once in a while there comes a
product
everyone should own. This
apochromatic doublet is just such a beast . . . The
short focal length
makes it a wonderful tool for
scanning the Milky Way, and
its small
aperture and FPL-51 glass let you crank up the magnification on the
Moon without false
color
becoming too intrusive. The AT66ED can serve
as a great grab-and-go scope,
a fine
little astrograph, a
super-finder
scope, and a daytime spotting scope . . . The only real
question is
which of the 6 available colors do you want?"
66mm f/6 fully multicoated ED glass apochromatic refractor optics Dual-speed Crayford focuser with 11:1 ratio fine focusing Combined dovetail/tripod bracket for use on a photo tripod or a German equatorial mount Amazing wide field astrophotographic capabilities Long-lasting white paint finish with anodized black trim Aluminum-frame foam-fitted hard case Two-year warranty colors available ![]() ![]() |

AT 80 EDT 80mm f/7 ED triplet apochromatic refractor with carbon fiber tube A
September 2008 Sky & Telescope review said the AT80EDT's essentially
textbook-perfect diffraction
images of brilliant white
stars showed a touch of green fringing outside of focus and magenta
inside. "The in-focus images were clean, crisp, and color free. Indeed,
observing with
a 3-mm eyepiece (187x), I easily spotted Mars' polar
cap and several surface
features on the planet's small,
7-arcsecond-diameter disk. Likewise, the Cassini division of Saturn's
rings was moderately easy to see despite the ring systems low angle. And the double star Rigel in Orion was a
breeze to split in a sky still
bright with evening twilight."

ATT 102 ED The AT102ED gives
you fully-multicoated ED optics that are
essentially free of the annoying halo of unfocused violet light
(chromatic aberration) that mars the bright-object images of lesser
scopes, despite the fast focal
ratio, and even at very high magnifications. Considering all the standard features you get that are extra-cost options with even the higher-priced competition, or are simply unavailable, this feature-laden Astro-Tech AT102ED is surely one of the best buys in astronomy! 102mm f/6.95
fully multicoated doublet optics

AT 111 EDT Tom Trusock of Cloudy
Nights Reviews said of the
AT 111: "Bottom line is, I'd be pretty pleased with it if it were my personal scope." The AT 111 EDT Triplet
Refractor is priced hundreds of dollars less than competitive 102mm and
110mm telescopes. It is a steal at this price especially with its
exceptional perfomance and lack of color.
